spring lab 2023 - arnhem
from 3-6th of april 2023, choreolab europe organizes a 4-day spring lab in arnhem, where advanced and professional dancers, movers, dancing choreographers and dance students can participate.
in this lab choreolab europe collaborates with artez bachelor of dance in education and invites guest artists, such as attila andrasi and sara europaeus. the founders of choreolab europe (sanne clifford, anja gallagher) will be part of the labs, playgrounds and lecture as well. this team of choreographers & collaborators will share insights and their artistic research approaches on their selected topics. there is also room to explore your own ideas within the playgrounds. you can bring your ideas along or let them rise while participating in the choreolab! more information about the program: perceptive ball: attila will be facilitating a choreography practice with a focus on experimenting with embodied dramaturgical consciousness. the practice involves working with poetic imagery and somatic-based exploration, navigating touch-based feelings. also, it explores embodied reflection by using tracing paper as a creative way of documenting spatial interferences to gain insight from our felt experiences. working on the theme of memory and the lack of it, sara europaeus' lab drives her interest as a cornerstone of our identity and human experience, and as a choreographic tool. connecting with approaches like associations, memory tools, and forgetting as choreographic instruments, her aim is to build from exploration to composition, sharing findings along the way. kim hoogterp gives a lecture about her ma research on hybrid dance artists. an example schedule of a former lab:
