Jordi is a dancer, dance-scholar, choreographer and dramaturg for dance. He holds a MA in Theatre Studies (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona - UAB), a BA in Journalism (UAB) and a BA in Choreography and Dance Interpretation Techniques (Institut del Teatre de Barcelona).

He started dancing at age 14 in the Catalan Folklore dance company Esbart Dansaire Fontcoberta, Banyoles. Since, he has trained in ballet, contemporary and jazz dance under teachers such as Enric Castan, Guillermina Coll, Anna Agustí, Natàlia Viñas. He has danced for dance company Factoria Mascaró and freelanced as a dramaturg for dance, dancer and choreographer for several projects.

Currently based in Amsterdam, he is active in different aspects of the dance field: Next to his active role in Choreolab Europe as a lecturer on dance-theory and his own projects as a choreographer, he freelances as a dancer; gives dramaturgical advice to other dance-makers; he teaches dance history as a guest lecturer in both high school as BA programs in Catalonia; writes articles for the Catalan Dance-Theater El Mercat de les Flors on a regular basis and is working on a PhD research on the poetics of Dutch choreographer Hans van Manen.
