spring lab 2024 - arnhem
from 25-28 of march 2024, choreolab europe organizes a 4-day spring lab in arnhem, where advanced and professional dancers, movers, dancing choreographers and dance students can participate.
in this lab choreolab europe collaborates with artez bachelor artisteducator in dance and invites guest artists. the founders of choreolab europe (sanne clifford, anja gallagher) will be part of the labs, playgrounds and lecture as well. this team of choreographers & collaborators will share insights and their artistic research approaches on their selected topics. there is also room to explore your own ideas within the playgrounds. you can bring your ideas along or let them rise while participating in the choreolab! more information about the program: lab ummi: letting go of performativity in this lab, ummi yanuba will share the core elements of her practice and research together with the participants how they can be translated into an artistic proces. questioning how we can let go of performativity while being fully present. lecture ummi: embodied wisdom and dance in this interactive lecture, we will dive into the topic of embodied wisdom. what is it and how does it relate to our work with dance? about ummi: ummi yanuba graduated as a professional dancer from the amsterdam university of the arts. next to performing, she does research into the topic of embodied wisdom and is studying to become a tre (tension and trauma release exercises) provider. she also has developed her own methodology called the explore practice, to share her deep love for movement and its potential to bring us new insights, help us release trauma and cultivate embodied wisdom. the schedule:
