Getting ready for the Spring Lab!

ChoreoLab Europe is getting ready for the Spring Lab in Berlin!

Today we share the latest news about the activities we have planned for the 28th, 29th and 30th of May. For more detailed information on the lab, click here.

The Spring Lab will be organized around three kinds of events:
  • The LABS: Sessions led by one of our (guest) choreographers, where the dancers will be set out to try specific ideas related to a theme, a research idea or a specific dance project in the making. In Berlin, aspects like musicality, theatricality or meditation as a means for improvisation will be approached.
  • The LECTURE: Dramaturg and dance-writer Jordi Ribot Thunnissen will open up the mind – since the mind is also a muscle, as Yvonne Rainier stated – by approaching the poetics of movement as a visual event.
  • The PLAYGORUNDS: a more pedagogic session where dancers and choreographers will have time to explore and be guided/advised on their own means and ways for movement making and development in a peer to peer setting.

At the end of each day, we will have time to give feedback to each other, share reflections, thoughts and questions.

Stay tuned for the publication of our full schedule, and for future posts introducing the labs and more details about the participating choreographers!

There are still some spots available, so if you are interested to join us in Berlin, click here!
